The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Friday 16th November, 2018 arrested and charged 53 year old Diogenes Arturo Marcelino, 53 year old Luis Cano and 46 year old Roberto Santana of the Dominican Republic with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of cocaine with intent to transfer to another and important of cocaine.
The alleged offenders, who were taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 20th November, 2018 were remanded at Her Majesty’s Prison. They are all due back before the court on Monday 14th January, 2019 to answer to the charges.

40 year old arrested for indecent assault
The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Tuesday 20th November, 2018 arrested and charged a 40 year old man from Rey Hill with indecent assault. The alleged offender who appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 21st November, 2018 was granted bail in the sum of EC $45,000.00 with one surety. He was ordered by the court to report to the Valley Police Station every Monday between the hours of 5:00am and 7:00pm, have no contact whether directly or indirectly with the virtual complainant and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The alleged offender is due back in court on Thursday 11th April, 2019 to answer to the charge.

39 year old arrested for Burglary
The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Tuesday 13th November, 2018 arrested and charged 39 year old Judson Burdon of South Hill with burglary. The alleged offender who was taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 14th November, 2018 was granted bail in the sum of EC $20,000.00 with one surety. He is due back before the court on Tuesday 28th May, 2019 to answer to the charge. Burdson’s conditions of bail are that he reports to The Valley Police Station every Monday and Friday and avoid having any contact whether directly or indirectly with the victim.

The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Wednesday 14th November, 2018 arrested and charged 48 year old Fabiana Liburd of The Valley with burglary. Liburd who was taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 15th November, 2018 was granted bail in the sum of EC $20,000.00 with one surety. She is due back before the court on Tuesday 28th May, 2019 to answer to the charge. Her conditions of bail are that she reports to The Valley Police Station every Monday and avoid visiting the alleged business place.

62 year old male arrested for Receiving Stolen Goods
The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Wednesday 14th November, 2018 arrested and charged 62 year old Corinne Richardson of Rey Hill with receiving stolen goods. The alleged offender who was taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 15th November, 2018 was granted bail in the sum of EC $20,000.00 with one surety. He is due back before the court on Tuesday 28th May, 2019 to answer to the charge.

RAPF promotes three new Inspectors and five new Sergeants
Commissioner of Police Mr. Paul Morrison has confirmed the promotion of three Sergeants to the rank of Inspector and five constables to the rank of Sergeant. The three new Inspectors are Shem Wills, Helmert Mason and Kenneth Millette. The new Sergeants are Lesroy Clarke, Edson Charles, Shanette McDowall, Paul Trim and Jonathan Tyson. The new promotions which came as a result of a recently held promotion process will see these officers posted across the RAPF in departments such as Beat and Patrol, Tactical Unit and Criminal Investigation Department as well as two newly created departments; Corporate Development and Police Standards. “I personally wish to thank all those who put themselves forward,” said Commissioner of Police Paul Morrison. “It’s absolutely necessary to take these challenges and learn from the experiences as it’s the only way we can test ourselves and develop for command. I congratulate all the candidates both those who were successful as well as those who were unsuccessful for their commitment to the public and the RAPF.”
The promotion panel, which consisted of Mrs. Aunika Webster-Lake, Superintendent Haslyn Patterson and Commissioner Paul Morrison, would like to pass on their admiration to all the candidates who went before the two promotion boards over the past six days. All the officers are commended for conducting themselves professionally and for their performances.
The promotions will be effective Monday 26th November, 2018.
