(RAPF, The Valley, Anguilla) – With just about two weeks remaining before their official passing out parade, the recruits in training at the Anguilla Recruit Center have been showcasing their skills and knowledge acquired thus far in their training.
On the weekend of the 21 – 22nd June 2020, they hosted a drill competition at the Campus B parking lot. The competition had its elimination phase on Saturday 21st, and the final on Sunday 22nd with three competitors each from Her Majesty’s Prison and the Royal Anguilla Police Force. Her Majesty’s Prison was represented by PO Dannice Simmons, PO Keithroy Connor and PO Joel Rodgers. The Royal Anguilla Police Force was represented by PC Devon Laroque, WPC Samantha Tomlinson and PC Anfernee Langford. The winner of the competition will be adjudged best at drills, and will be awarded at the passing out parade on 4th July 2020, which will be held at the Fairplay Complex Parking Lot.
The competition was adjudicated by Mr. Elliott Forbes, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Henderson Burges, Lieutenant Anguilla Cadet Corps and Mr. Kenneth Millette, Commandant Anguilla Recruit Training Center.
There was an appreciative crowd on hand to witness the event which included Commissioner of Police Mr. Paul Morrison, Attorney General Mr. Dwight Horsford, serving police officers, family and friends.
