The Anguilla Progressive Movement (APM), led by Dr. Ellis Webster has taken the reins of local Government in Anguilla after unseating the incumbent Anguilla United Front (AUF) in the June 29th, 2020 General Election.

It was an historic process in Anguilla that employed the use of new voting cards, an electronic voting system, and in addition to the 7 District constituencies, allocated four “island-wide” (‘At Large’) elected positions which increased elected representatives to 11, with a majority of 6 needed to form the Government.

The APM  won four of the seven district seats and three of the four island-wide seats, handing the party a majority in the House of Assembly, where the Opposition AUF will hold four seats, comprising three district and one of the island-wide seats.

The successful APM team to form Government, comprises, Dr. Ellis Webster (District 1);  Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers, who ousted former Premier Victor Banks in District 4;  Merrick Richardson (District 5); Haydn Hughes, son of former Chief Minister Hubert Hughes (District 6); and island-wide winners, Kyle Hodge, Kenneth Hodge and Quincia Gumbs-Marie.
