WIPA Congratulates Kraigg Brathwaite on Appointment as Captain

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) congratulates Kraigg Brathwaite
on his appointment as the 37th captain of the West Indies Men’s Test team.

Kraigg Brathwaite, who recently led the team to a 2-0 series victory over Bangladesh, replaces Jason Holder who has captained the West Indies team in 37 Tests since his appointment in 2015 as a 23- year-old.

WIPA’s executive, management and staff extends thanks to outgoing captain Jason Holder for his service to West Indies cricket as captain, and we wish him continued success on and off the field. Equally, we wish Kraigg Brathwaite continued success in his new role as captain.

We know this important job comes with great responsibilities on and off the field, of which Kraigg has made a wonderful start.
